We produce our own energy
For years the company has equipped itself with a photovoltaic system completely serving the cereal storage and processing plant.
This is with the aim of minimizing the impacts of transformations and keeping its ecological footprint to a minimum.
The farm has a deeply green soul which manifests itself in many of the management choices made over the years.
Therefore, in addition to the photovoltaic system, long rotations were adopted which allow the land to rest after the effort of supporting the production of cereals.
Furthermore, in order to be CIRCULAR, the digestate which also derives from the fermentation of the company's cereal husk is reused in the company.
Therefore, as part of a virtuous local economic model, a path has been started aimed at minimizing environmental impacts,
I combat waste and close the bio-geochemical cycles of nutrients where they have been opened, i.e. ON THE ORGANIC FIELDS (agricultural land) of the Pieve a Salti farm.
