From vision to production

Our processing facility

A journey that began in 1998 with the transition to organic farming.

The idea of processing our first 500 kg of spelt came from the desire to let our agritourism guests taste the flagship product of our farm, even placing a package in their rooms upon arrival.

It was precisely the interest and appreciation shown by our guests that encouraged us to invest in this direction, convinced that enhancing our own production on-site would become a key element of our business. For this reason, starting in 2000, we began renovating existing farm buildings to create a modern mill capable of dehulling, pearling, packaging and labeling all the cereals produced on the farm.

The first facility was completed in 2002, giving us the opportunity to start important collaborations with large-scale retail operators, agri-food industries, pasta producers, and mills.

Since then, we have further specialized by adopting the most advanced technologies available on the market and by operating a stone mill to grind our cereals and legumes, offering a complete range of healthy, high-quality products grown in an ecological way.

Organic farmers

Since 2015, we have promoted a network of organic farmers in the Province of Siena, who collaborate with us to supply certified local organic cereals at zero kilometres.

Food safety

All of this is part of our commitment to providing greater guarantees regarding product origin and production methods, meeting the expectations of increasingly conscious consumers focused on food safety.
